Die Spiegel vient de réaliser une galerie photo sur les nouvelles mosquées en Allemagne.

« Nearly 200 new mosques are being planned for Germany. A number of their designs are truly magnificent, such as the one being planned for Ehrenfeld, a district of Cologne. The futuristic structure will resemble a giant egg broken up in spots and flanked by two minarets. »

« But what are the limits? For example, there have been hardly any protests about the Merkez Mosque in Duisburg, which is scheduled to open on Oct. 26, 2008, and will be Germany's largest. But the announcement that two additional mosques would be built in the city sparked protests by local inhabitants. »
